Anonymity

This is my self-portrait of me as a photographer. In case you haven't noticed, I don't make it a point to show my face in any picture that I take of myself. In my profile picture here on Blogger, my face is hidden by my hair, and here it's just completely cut off.

The Kodak Instamatic I'm holding in this picture is a member of my lovely little camera collection. I chose to use him in this photo because he's got such a classic "camera" look and I thought it went really well with the overall photography theme. A little fun fact about this photo is that the grey hoodie I'm wearing was really damp because I'd just taken it out of the washer, therefore, I was REALLY cold and shivering when I took this picture. It was completely worth it, though, because I'm rather proud of this photo.

A Puzzling Picture (But Not In A Bad Way)

Our latest photo assignment was to compose a David Hockney style photo. It's comprised of a whole bunch of different shots of the same subject that are put together in Photoshop to form one larger image, almost like a puzzle. Here's mine.

My model was senior Madison Simpson and I owe her a HUGE thanks for agreeing to model for me at 6 in the morning when it was freezing outside. So, thank you, Madi.
I really like the way this picture (or pictures) turned out. It was a little bit confusing to figure out how I was going to put all the pictures together at first, but it got a lot easier as I worked on it more. I wish some of the pictures fit together better, but it's supposed to be slightly offset, so I suppose it's alright. Overall, I'm proud of my work here, this is the first big project I've done in Photoshop and I think I did just fine.
